The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management is designed to prepare you for a career with the knowledge and skills needed to become a manager who is effective and efficient. You will have an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills as best suited for yourself through the choice of electives within the major. you will better understand business and management areas including: human resources, operations, entrepreneurship, quality control, data analysis, and strategy. Your study will include topics such as training and development, business plan development, labor relations, current issues in human resources management, creativity and innovation, group and team dynamics, international culture, quality control, strategic planning, motivation, decision making ,service operations, product design, compensation, family business, and more.
Students are provided two learning options for earning a BSBA degree with a major in Management. The first option is to take classes on the UT Martin campus. The second option is to take classes in the online virtual classroom. Regardless of which option is chosen, the degree received will consistently be the same degree. Classes in the virtual classroom are taught by the same faculty as in the campus classroom. Of course, if a student so chooses, both options may be used to complete the degree requirements.
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the global aspects of business, the ethical aspects of business, effective critical thinking skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, the business core, and competence in management.
